أعلن المهندس بسام محمد فضل، رئيس جهاز مدينة الشروق، عن بدء أعمال رفع كفاءة الطريق الشرقي للمدينة، في إطار خطة الجهاز لتطوير شبكة الطرق ورفع مستوى الخدمات المقدمة للمواطنين. وتشمل الأعمال الجارية رصف الأرصفة والجزر الوسطى وتنفيذ طبقات الأسفلت الجديدة، بما يساهم في تحسين السيولة المرورية وتوفير بيئة آمنة ومريحة للسكان.
وأكد رئيس الجهاز أن المشروع يجري تنفيذه من خلال شركات متخصصة، مع الالتزام التام بتطبيق أعلى معايير الجودة والدقة في التنفيذ، مشددًا على أن أعمال التطوير ستحدث نقلة نوعية في البنية التحتية للمدينة، بما يواكب حجم التوسع العمراني والزيادة السكانية المستمرة.
وأشار إلى أن هذه الأعمال تأتي ضمن خطة متكاملة تستهدف رفع كفاءة الطرق والمحاور الرئيسية بمدينة الشروق، لاسيما أن الطريق الشرقي يُعد أحد الشرايين الحيوية التي تربط بين المناطق السكنية والخدمات المختلفة، ما يجعله محورًا أساسيًا في حركة التنقل داخل المدينة وخارجها.
من جانبه، أوضح المهندس حسين الأحمدي، نائب رئيس الجهاز للتنفيذ، أنه يتابع ميدانيًا سير العمل للتأكد من التزام الشركات المنفذة بالمواصفات الفنية المحددة، مشيرًا إلى أن هناك أعمال صيانة دورية لجميع شبكات الطرق لضمان استدامة الخدمة المقدمة للمواطنين. وأضاف أن الجهاز يحرص على مراقبة جودة التنفيذ بشكل لحظي بهدف تجنب أي ملاحظات أو مشكلات مستقبلية.
كما كلف رئيس الجهاز مدير إدارة الطرق بمتابعة يومية للأعمال ميدانيًا، والتأكد من سرعة الإنجاز وفقًا للجدول الزمني المحدد، حتى يتم الانتهاء من المشروع وتسليمه في أقرب وقت ممكن. وشدد على أن الجهاز يعمل على مدار الساعة للانتهاء من كافة الأعمال المسندة، حرصًا على راحة المواطنين وتقليل فترات الإزعاج الناتجة عن أعمال التطوير.
واختتم المهندس بسام محمد فضل تصريحاته بالتأكيد على أن الهدف الأساسي من المشروع هو تحسين جودة الطرق ورفع مستوى الخدمات العامة وتعزيز عوامل السلامة المرورية، مشيرًا إلى أن جهاز المدينة لن يدخر جهدًا في دعم مشروعات البنية التحتية، بما يحقق رؤية الدولة في الارتقاء بالمدن الجديدة وتحسين جودة الحياة بها.
Upgrading Al-Shorouk City’s Eastern Road to Enhance Services and Traffic Safety
Eng. Bassem Mohamed Fadl, Head of Al-Shorouk City Authority, announced the launch of a comprehensive project to upgrade the city’s eastern road as part of the authority’s development plan to improve the road network and raise the quality of services provided to residents. The project includes paving sidewalks, landscaping central islands, and applying new asphalt layers, all aimed at improving traffic flow and ensuring a safer and more comfortable environment for the community.
The Head of the Authority emphasized that the project is being carried out by specialized contractors, with strict adherence to the highest standards of quality and precision. He added that the upgrade will represent a significant step in enhancing the city’s infrastructure, in line with its rapid urban expansion and growing population.
He also pointed out that this initiative comes within a broader plan to upgrade Al-Shorouk’s main roads and corridors, particularly since the eastern road is considered one of the city’s vital arteries. It connects residential areas with key services and serves as a major route for mobility within and beyond the city.
Meanwhile, Eng. Hussein El-Ahmady, Deputy Head of the Authority for Implementation, confirmed that he is personally overseeing the progress on-site to ensure contractors’ compliance with technical specifications. He noted that regular maintenance is being carried out across the city’s road networks to guarantee sustainable services, stressing that the authority closely monitors the quality of execution to avoid any potential issues in the future.
Eng. Bassem Mohamed Fadl further assigned the Roads Department Director to conduct daily on-site inspections and ensure that the project is completed according to schedule. He stressed that work is being conducted around the clock to finish all assigned tasks quickly, in order to minimize disruption for residents and deliver the upgraded road as soon as possible.
Concluding his remarks, the Head of the Authority highlighted that the ultimate goal of the project is to improve road quality, enhance public services, and strengthen traffic safety standards. He affirmed that Al-Shorouk City Authority remains committed to supporting infrastructure projects that align with the state’s vision to develop new cities and improve overall quality of life.
