أشاد رجل الأعمال المهندس نجيب ساويرس، بتوقيع الحكومة لعقود أكبر مشروع سياحي على البحر الأحمر بشراكة إماراتية سعودية، مشيرًا إلى أن ذلك سينعكس على زيادة فرص العمل ودفع حركة النمو وزيادة الرواج السياحي.
جاء ذلك خلال افتتاح النسخة التاسعة من المائدة المستديرة “ثنك كوميرشال”، تحت عنوان: “صناعة العقار تقود الاستثمار والتصدير”، وذلك تحت رعاية وزارة الإسكان والمرافق والمجتمعات العمرانية وغرفة التطوير العقاري باتحاد الصناعات المصرية.
وأضاف “ساويرس”، أن معدلات السياحة الوافدة حققت طفرة كبرى خلال الفترة الماضية، بما يستلزم زيادة المشروعات الفندقية والسياحية لتلبية الطلب المتزايد، مضيفًا أن القطاع الخاص قدم تجارب مميزة خلال الفترة الماضية في مجال السياحة خاصة في الساحل الشمالي والبحر الأحمر بما يشجع على زيادة فرص جذب الاستثمارات في ذلك المجال.
خفض اسعار الفائدة واستقرار سعر الصرف ينعكس ايجابيا على نمو المشروعات
ولفت “ساويرس”، إلى أن تشجيع القطاع الخاص بخفض أسعار الفائدة مع استمرار استقرار سعر الصرف، سينعكس بالإيجاب على نمو وتيرة المشروعات، مشيرًا إلى أن ارتفاع سعر الفائدة على مدار السنوات الماضية مع ارتفاع أسعار مواد البناء ألقى بالمزيد من الأعباء على المطورين العقاريين، وساهم في ارتفاع أسعار الوحدات بالسوق لمستويات عالية.
وأوضح أن الدولة المصرية أطلقت مبادرة جيدة خلال الفترة الماضية لزيادة جلسات الاستماع إلى القطاع الخاص وتذليل العقبات التي تواجهه، كما نجحت في حل العديد من مشكلات المصانع المتعثرة وتشجيع الاستثمارات في عدد من المجالات خاصة الزراعية منها، مطالبًا باستمرار النهج نحو خفض سعر الفائدة وصولاً إلى ٨٪ بما يسهم في زيادة تشجيع النمو وتذليل العقبات أمام القطاع الخاص.
وحول مشروع تطوير منظومة تشغيل منطقة الأهرامات، قال “ساويرس”، إنه نجح في تقديم مشروع يليق بقيمة المنطقة الأثرية، من حيث الدخول والخروج ووجود مسارات مخصصة لركوب الجمال ومزارات ومركز للزوار ووسائل للانتقال ترتقي بالصورة الحضارية لمنطقة الأهرامات.
وحول ابرز مستجدات أعمال شركته، كشف “ساويرس” عن سعيه لتكوين شركة قابضة تجمع مختلف شركاته لطرحها بالبورصة المصرية، كما كشف عن توقيعه لبروتكول تعاون مع الحكومة السودانية في مجال الاستثمار في استكشاف الذهب.

“Marassi Red Sea Deal Will Boost Growth and Job Creation”
Businessman Naguib Sawiris praised the government’s signing of contracts for the largest tourism project on the Red Sea, in partnership with Emirati and Saudi investors, stressing that the move will generate more job opportunities, stimulate growth, and enhance tourism activity.
His remarks came during the opening of the 9th edition of the “Think Commercial” roundtable, held under the theme “Real Estate Driving Investment and Exports”, and organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, as well as the Real Estate Development Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
Sawiris noted that inbound tourism to Egypt has witnessed a significant surge in recent years, which necessitates an expansion of hotel and tourism projects to meet the growing demand. He highlighted the private sector’s successful contributions to tourism development, particularly along the North Coast and the Red Sea, which further encourage foreign and local investments in this vital sector.
The businessman emphasized that lowering interest rates while maintaining exchange rate stability would positively impact the pace of project development. He explained that high interest rates in recent years, combined with rising construction material costs, placed heavy burdens on real estate developers and drove unit prices in the market to record highs.
Sawiris welcomed recent government initiatives to strengthen dialogue with the private sector, remove obstacles, and revive struggling factories. He also commended efforts to encourage investments in multiple fields, particularly agriculture. He called for a continued downward trajectory of interest rates, targeting 8%, as a means to further stimulate growth and facilitate private sector participation.
On the Giza Pyramids development project, Sawiris stated that his company has succeeded in presenting a model worthy of the historical site’s global stature. The project includes upgraded access points, dedicated camel-riding trails, visitor centers, and modern transportation facilities designed to enhance the cultural and touristic experience of the Pyramids area.
Regarding his company’s future plans, Sawiris revealed his intention to establish a holding company consolidating his various businesses, with a view to listing it on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. He also disclosed the signing of a cooperation protocol with the Sudanese government to invest in gold exploration.
