أكد المهندس طارق شكري، رئيس غرفة التطوير العقاري وأمين عام مؤتمر The Investor، أن السوق العقارية المصرية ليست مجرد قطاع اقتصادي تقليدي؛ بل قاطرة تنموية أساسية تدفع عجلة النمو، وتوفر فرصَ العمل، وتفتح آفاقًا واسعة للاستثمار المحلي والأجنبي.

أضاف شكري، في الجلسة الافتتاحية للنسخة الثالثة من مؤتمر The Investor.. Real State، الذي تنظمه شركة “بلاك دايموند” بالتعاون مع غرفة التطوير العقاري باتحاد الصناعات المصرية، اليوم الثلاثاء، تحت عنوان “مستقبل العقار.. التحديات والحلول والسوق البديل”، أن عدد المطورين ارتفع من 75 مطورًا إلى 15 ألفا في 10 سنوات، وذلك تماشيًا مع سياسة الدولة لزيادة الرقعة العمرانية من 6% إلى 14%.
شدد، على أن القطاع العقاري يرتبط ارتباطًا مباشرًا بأكثر من 105 صناعات بشكل مباشر وغير مباشر، ويوفر نحو 10 ملايين فرصة عمل بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر أيضًا.
طالب شكري، باستحداث جهة حكومية منوطة بها وضع آليات تنظيمية تحقق التوازن بين مصالح الدولة والمطورين والمواطنين للحفاظ على استدامة القطاع، على أن تتولى تلك الجهة تنظيم أعمال التسويق والدعاية في السوق العقاري بقواعد نظامية ومحددة، ودراسة العقبات التي تقف أمام انطلاق القطاع، التي في مقدمتها تسعير الأراضي بما يقلل أسعار بيع الشركات العقارية، ويتماشى مع القدرة الشرائية للعملاء.

Eng. Tarek Shoukry, Chairman of the Real Estate Development Chamber and Secretary-General of The Investor Conference, affirmed that Egypt’s real estate market is not just a traditional economic sector, but rather a key developmental engine that drives growth, creates jobs, and opens broad horizons for both local and foreign investment.
Speaking at the opening session of the third edition of The Investor.. Real Estate Conference—organized by Black Diamond in cooperation with the Real Estate Development Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries under the theme “The Future of Real Estate… Challenges, Solutions, and Alternative Markets”—Shoukry revealed that the number of developers has increased from just 75 to 15,000 over the past 10 years. This surge, he explained, aligns with the state’s policy to expand Egypt’s urban footprint from 6% to 14%.
He stressed that the real estate sector is directly and indirectly linked to more than 105 industries, while generating around 10 million job opportunities across the economy.
Shoukry also called for the establishment of a dedicated government body tasked with setting regulatory mechanisms that balance the interests of the state, developers, and citizens, ensuring the sector’s long-term sustainability. This body, he suggested, should oversee marketing and promotional activities in the real estate market through clear and standardized regulations, while also addressing key challenges—foremost among them land pricing—in order to help reduce property sale prices and align them with citizens’ purchasing power.
